I can sort of understand why students are afraid to apply for Oxbridge now. I'm feeling again the uncertainty, fearing that all my efforts will be for naught with a surprising intensity, compared to my A Level days where I was guided by the hand in the Oxbridge application process (speaking of which I really applaud the students back home, seeing that the level of assistance provided by the schools aren't as comprehensive and detailed to the ratio of students). Now it feels as if I'm actively carving out a future for myself and there's always this irritating voice saying, are you sure that's what you want to do? And can you actually do it? I'll just drown the voice with my current music addiction; saw it on N's wall and it's so upbeat and positive and happy :D
Anyway, shall just take good advice that I heard - just apply apply apply. Try. It's difficult to know what I am capable of, after all, until I try. So... a first class? :p
JJ shared a link which is worth a read: http://www.structuredprocrastination.com/index.php The article suggests that procrastinators are very productive and do lots more stuff excellently, except only in things they are not supposed to be prioritizing. Hahaha, it struck a chord and echoes the saying, 'Aim for the moon so if you fall, you'll land among the stars'. I need to think of a 'very important-slash-pointless' ECA to excel in, quickly, to put at the top of my list xD I shall consider aiming to be a blue in a martial art or something sufficiently adrenaline-inducing and sporty :p
